MARIJA TEMO
Classical/Flamenco Guitarist /Flamenco Singer/ Flamenco Dance Coach
Marija Temo, described as a “triple threat”, and is widely recognized as a classical/flamenco guitarist, flamenco vocalist, conductor, and former dancer. She has come into her own, combining her flamenco and classical abilities. She actively performs as a soloist with symphony orchestras, in guitar concert series and festivals, as a flamenco singer/guitar accompanist, and has been featured in unique types of performances. She has performed for many dignitaries and with highly acclaimed artists, and has also received several awards. In addition to her versatile performance career, she is known for her teaching methods, educational programs, and workshops. Marija Temo plays a “Marija Temo” Model flamenco/classical hybrid TM, which she designed with luthier Tom Rodriguez. Ms. Temo has also received the endorsement of D’Addario Strings.

Clinard Dance is a project dedicated to exploring and expanding the vocabulary of flamenco. Led by an open-minded spirit, the ensemble seeks to engage with contemporary culture through vibrant performances that honor the roots of traditional flamenco while sharing a passion for music and dance discovery. The roster boasts remarkably diverse talents, including composers, arrangers, improvisers, and choreographers who bring a range of cultural influences to the group, from Gypsy jazz to klezmer to flamenco and classical Arabic and Spanish styles.

Concerts are on on hold around the world because of the coronavirus, but singing shows can still continue for now, including "La Voz," the Spanish-language American version of "The Voice" on Telemundo.
And on Sunday's episode, one of Milwaukee's own is competing for a slot in the live playoffs.
Flamenco artist Marija Temo, guitar chair for the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, is competing in the battle rounds on Sunday's episode.
She wowed the judges during with her blind audition of David Bisbal’s “Bulería," choosing to compete on Colombian superstar Carlos Vives' team. (The episode aired last month.)
Temo, 51, actually grew up in Akron, Ohio. Her father has Albanian and Greek heritage, and her mother is Serbian-American, but Temo fell in love with the Spanish style of music when she was 6, dedicating her life to mastering the craft.
