Richard J. Andersen, age 84, of Underwood, Iowa passed away at his home on May 21,

He was born March 1, to the late Jens and Ellen (Lauritsen) Andersen. Richard graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of and was a career electrician, retiring from IBEW Local Richard was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church near Neola, Iowa. He was very active in the local and regional music circuit.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Jean Thomas and Elsie Lehmer.

Richard is survived by his wife, Harriette Andersen; sons, Steve Andersen, Rick Andersen (Diane) and James Andersen (Karin); sister, Ruth Cody; brother, Harold Andersen; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation is p.m. to p.m. on Thursday May 31, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service is p.m. on Friday June 1, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church near Neola, Iowa.

Steve was born May 13, , to Melva Bean and Lelan Andersen. He was the fifth child of Lee and Melva. He graduated high school from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony. He attended BYU where he obtained his bachelors and masters degrees.

He married Lorna Simper. They were later divorced. Later he married Shirley Cox. She was the love of his life. Shirley passed away in He then married Pam, and they moved to Vancouver, Washington. They were later divorced. Some friends moved him back to Rexburg, settling him in at The Homestead, and later Temple View Care Center.

Steve was taking a ride in his motorized wheel chair when he passed away, Wednesday, May 9,

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Carlson, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Judy Anderson, of West Jordan, UT.

Services will be held at a.m. Wednesday, May 15, , at Wood Funeral Home, North Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from a.m. to a.m. prior.

After fighting for more than five years against pancreatic cancer, Steve Andersen, 66, of Vineland passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, , surrounded by his family. He struggled so hard to stay alive for his family that he loved so much, his children, Stevie and Sheri, and his wife, Gloria.

Steve enlisted and served in the Navy for four years before receiving his associate degree from Cumberland County College. He then had a successful career as a corrections officer at Midstate Correctional Facility, where he retired as a lieutenant. But his greatest success was his love for his family and how he cared for them.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria J Andersen of Vineland; son, Stevie Andersen; daughter, Sheri Andersen; parents, Art and June Andersen; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Chuck Nolen of North Carolina; sister, Valerie Andersen of Nevada; brother, Robert Saunders of Alabama; father-in-law, Michael Reale Sr.; sister-in-law, Trish Reale; and brother-in-law and wife, Michael and Robyn Reale Jr. Steve was predeceased by his mother, Ann (Cooke) Andersen; his brother, Craig Andersen; and his mother-in-law, Concetta Reale.
